Best Digital Campaigns featured at the “WGSN: Futures” Conference 2015

November 12, 2015

Looking for some of the best digital campaigns of 2015? Here’s our pick of the bunch.

This week I had the extreme pleasure of attending WGSN’s “Futures” conference here in Melbourne. For those of you not familiar with WGSN, they are an international trend forecasting company used by big name brands all around the world. Definitely one to bookmark!

We heard from Lorna Hall, WGSN’s Global Head of Market Intelligence, who shared with us some of the key digital media and marketing trends we should have on our radars, plus a handful of the best digital campaigns that have really stood out lately.

Here are some of my personal favourites:

NZ Transport, “Tinnyvision” – Snapchat campaign

Watch the above video and tell me you’re not impressed. What begins as something so entertaining and humorous, ends so shockingly. What I really like is that it was a partnership with Snapchat, done in an aesthetic so true to Snapchat’s native look/feel, and targets their exact audience exactly in the social environment they like best.

Carmel Winery, “Foodography”

Such an innovative concept. Take something so huge on social media (foodstagrams!) and amp it up to an almost ridiculous level. You can’t watch this video and tell me you wouldn’t want to have an experience like that? Talk about PR gold!

Outdoor Voices #DoingThings Instagram Campaign

Outdoor Voices, Instagram Interiors

This is not a campaign as much as it really, just a really catchy concept. This small Austin, Texas store has really thought about their core customer – the wellbeing fanatics who love a Pinterest and Instagram worthy photo. By designing their shop fit-out to look like something straight from a magazine, they are encouraging their audience to snap away and share their pictures globally.

Do you have a favourite? What do you think is the best digital campaign of 2015? Let us know and be sure to get in touch with us if you want a forward-thinking campaign of your own (don’t worry, we think of big-guy campaigns for small-guy businesses too!).
